CABINET NEON SIGNS
(low voltage)
Low-voltage, Animated and Patented
THT Cabinet
Neon is low voltage neon for indoor use and is quite different from the
standard High Voltage Neon. But it remains neon and not something that
just looks like it.
The main difference of the two neon versions is that
Low Voltage Neon is mounted in a cabinet instead of on a metal frame.
All electronics and electrical connections are safely hidden away.
With the glass tubes mounted on a cabinet the chance of broken glass is
reduced.
With a low input voltage of 12V and only 5 watt per meter neon, an
average of 25 to 40 watt per sign, Low Voltage Neon consumes only a
fourth of that of High Voltage Neon.
While High Voltage Neon uses tubes with diameters of 8mm minimum, Low
Voltage Neon can use tubes of 3 to 8mm in diameter.
Low Voltage Neon can make each glass tube blink without making the sign
outrageously more expensive. And even slowly filling tubes are possible,
what we like to call flowing neon.
